Verlab Institute and NCC-HPC Bosnia and Herzegovina at the EuroCC4SEE Workshop in Belgrade
As the National Competence Center for High-Performance Computing (NCC-HPC) in Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Verlab Institute participated in the EuroCC4SEE Workshop held in Belgrade from 19 to 22 May 2025.
The workshop brought together leading HPC experts and institutions from the region, offering a unique opportunity to explore applications of HPC technologies, exchange experiences, and strengthen regional collaboration. Throughout the event, Verlab Institute showcased the progress and achievements of NCC-HPC BiH, emphasizing our current capacities, implementation challenges, and development plans for the future.
The first day provided valuable insights into how HPC resources can be utilized. It was also a great opportunity to meet professionals from across the HPC community and to arrange potential training programs.
The second day featured excellent networking opportunities and highlighted successful use cases and development prospects for the NCC in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Promising collaboration was initiated with the NCCs of Spain and North Macedonia, while several participants expressed strong interest in the work of the Verlab Institute.
The final day was marked by our presentation, during which we successfully introduced the Verlab Institute and NCC-HPC BiH, shared key highlights from our first year of implementation, and outlined future goals. In addition, our representative gave an interview on our recent achievements and the EUMaster4HPC project. 💡 We thank the organizers for their hospitality and the inspiring program. We return with new knowledge, strengthened partnerships, and motivation to further advance the HPC ecosystem in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
